So we went up to Rocky Mountain Mennonite Camp yesterday. It’s up in the mountains near Divide, CO. It was so beautiful! I wish I was able to make it to the mountains more often.
We had lunch, toured the camp, and took a short hike. All in all it was a beautiful afternoon!
On our way around the camp we came across a cave, and as you all know my favorite things are tight spaces and complete darkness . . . haha; yet, we explored. It was really just like a long hallway that had been carved into the mountain, but i was in the back of the pack and I couldn’t see my hand in front of my face or where I was stepping. Finally, after what seemed like ten minutes, we came to a dead end; it was really an uneventful trip.
We turned around and headed back the way we came. Soon I saw that speck of light from the entrance; Then, as unsure as I had felt before, I was now surefooted. And as slowly as I had been creeping before, I was now gaining speed. It wasn’t even until I reached the mouth of the cave that I realized how quickly I was moving! The light was magnetic, and the sun was warm.
God is light; light is good, yeah. God is good
